New in LAT: Updated content editor & ability to publish rubrics
As the first signs of spring emerge here in New York, I’m excited to share the latest of several new enhancements to LAT. I’ve had a busy few months getting to know the power of Taskstream’s longest running product. As the new Product Owner for LAT, I look forward to delivering new, user-centered experiences for students, faculty, and coordinators.
Create engaging content more easily
First up, we’re excited to introduce a feature that helps students craft lively submissions and folios and that saves administrators time when formatting directions! We’ve combined a new rich text editor with easy image upload so that you can create engaging work more easily.
- Drag-and-drop or copy and paste images directly into your content
- Resize and move images on the page to fit your own layout
- Add tables to control your own page layout
- Insert of embedded media more easily
This short video shows you how to make use of all the new options for creating and presenting more engaging content:
The editor and image features are available in DRF set-up for coordinators, for submissions when text and image are available to students, in folios + webpages, and in the lesson and unit builders.
Publish rubrics externally
Do you have program or course rubrics that you want to publish to prospective and current students? Do faculty want to share rubrics with students to communicate learning expectations? We have made it easier to publish rubrics that you create in LAT so that you can share them with teams within and outside of your organization.
The new external rubric view has a sleek design and can be shared or even published as a link from your
own portal or website.
- Generate a clean, external webpage view of your rubrics directly from LAT
- Publish or share those links to anyone in or outside your institution
- Provide easy access to rubrics from a web browser
- Select specific performance areas to print or download
Students working on a requirement can download or print the rubric for easy offline access and they
can even specify a particular performance goal for quick reference while working on their submission.
I look forward to delivering more enhancements and continuing focus on improving the LAT experience in the months ahead!
