Taskstream Introduces New CEO, Kevin Michielsen

Kevin Michielsen

NEW YORK – October 7, 2016 – Taskstream, the leading provider of learning outcomes assessment technology and accreditation solutions for higher education, announced today that Kevin Michielsen, formerly of Legal Media at ALM, will be succeeding Chief Executive Officer Kevin Doyle. Doyle, also a founder of the company, will continue his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“It has been an extremely rewarding 16 years, building Taskstream from the ground up to become the thoughtful leader for assessment and accreditation that it has become,” said former CEO, Kevin Doyle. “However, I felt that it was time for me to pass the baton to the next generation of leadership and Kevin [Michielsen] comes to us highly recommended.”

Kevin Michielsen joins Taskstream from American Legal Media, a specialty news and information provider, where he served as President and oversaw all ALM legal media brands and information solutions around the world. Prior to that, he held a number of senior leadership roles at the Visant Corporation, LexisNexis, and McKinsey & Company.

Over the past couple of weeks, Michielsen has been working closely with Kevin Doyle on the transition. Doyle will continue his role as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and, as such, will remain involved in the larger strategic and business decisions of Taskstream.

“Kevin [Doyle] has been a tremendous leader for Taskstream and it is an honor to be able to continue his legacy,” said, Michielsen. “The future is bright at Taskstream and well-earned. I have been overwhelmed by the passion and commitment that I have seen from every one of my new colleagues. I am flattered to be joining the team at Taskstream and have every confidence that we will continue to be leaders and innovators in the assessment and accreditation space. This new phase will not only lead us to continued successes as a company, but more importantly, for our clients and the students that they serve.”
