High Impact Practices (HIPs) are techniques and designs for teaching and learning that are proven to be beneficial for student engagement and successful learning among students from many backgrounds. This session reveals the process to sustain, track, and assess High Impact Practices from the individual project, university, and large state university system level. Examples of specific HIPs will be available, as well as a demonstration of how HIPs are assessed within Taskstream. Participants will also be introduced to HIP taxonomies (rubrics) built on national efforts to categorize and describe effective engaging educational experiences for learning and student success.
