Higher education has shifted from an ‘ivory tower’ to a ‘fish bowl’ – each institution and its students, faculty, alumni, facilities, and resources are now observed, measured, and counted. Student success is now a tangible metric for institutions alongside retention rates, graduation rates, and placement rates.

This presentation will focus on four key functions of institutional effectiveness and strategies to avoid getting lost in the maze of data and reports. Participants will see how North Carolina A&T uses Taskstream by Watermark to collect and “cross-seed” student success data with information from other campus systems, ultimately shifting from knowing to doing.
