Engaging academic units in assessing learning outcomes is a challenge at large institutions. At the University of Arizona, academic units are held accountable for assessment within the seven-year cycle of Academic Program Review (APR). However, other programs, such as General Education (GE) are campus-wide and difficult to assess. To accomplish both tasks, we needed two things: a structured reporting system that guides programs to close the loop on assessment, and a means to assess our GE Program as a whole. In this presentation, we will share our vision of institutional assessment, including how both Taskstream and Aqua by Watermark support our assessment work.
