As our college moves forward with a pilot of edTPA and initiates other video assessments, we found a significant point of stress for teacher candidates to be the mechanics of recording and editing video. We needed to quickly improve students’ skills at multiple points in the curriculum. A complicating factor is the need to support face-to-face as well as online students. In this session, we’ll share interventions that we developed to support students with video assessments required for the edTPA. This includes providing students with video tutorials, live workshops, equipment for checkout, and video sharing services. We will share lessons learned, recommendations, and provide time for participants to interact with equipment we check out to students.
