NEW YORK— July 25, 2018 –Watermark, the largest provider of educational intelligence software for higher education worldwide, is pleased to welcome one of its newest institutional partners, D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, D’Youville has selected Watermark’s educational intelligence systems for use across the campus in both academic and non-academic units, which includes the assessment of co-curricular activities.

D’Youville adopted Watermark for its abilities to integrate programs’ efforts around outcomes assessment and streamline evaluation. With a goal of increasing efficiencies and creating a more holistic picture of institutional effectiveness processes, D’Youville plans to leverage Watermark to: 1) support course-based assessment within its four schools and General Education program, 2) assess co-curricular activities to enhance student life, 3) prepare institutional data reports that will increase transparency across campus, and 4) provide students with a comprehensive portfolio system that allows them to track their growth and showcase their academic learning and extracurricular learning experiences.

“We believe that Watermark will be a vital tool in our ability to assess student learning and gather meaningful data, allowing us to improve both student outcomes and instructional design. The ability for our faculty and other instructional personnel to view target sets, goals, outcomes, and methods of assessment will be a fantastic step in creating a visual representation of what we as an institution hope to achieve,” said Joggeshwar Das, Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and Planning for D’Youville College.

“We’re honored to have D’Youville College as our newest institutional partner. We are committed to developing the solutions that colleges need to centralize institutional improvement processes, meet the challenges of effectively planning for assessment, and using data for continuous quality improvement. Our goal is to provide our partners with better data so they can focus on using it to make meaningful improvements that impact students,” said Kevin Michielsen, CEO of Watermark.

D’Youville is a private college located on the west side of Buffalo, with a mission focused on preparing students to be compassionate, productive, and responsible leaders in the global community.
