Taskstream Announces Launch of Faculty Credentialing Module

NEW YORK (March 9, 2011) – Taskstream, the leading provider of a centralized online system for institutions to manage all assessment, accreditation, and e-portfolio activities,, announces the release of a new module to track, manage, and report on faculty credentials. This tool, available as a part of the Accountability Management System by Taskstream, streamlines the time-consuming task of periodically collecting faculty information across a campus and reporting to accreditation bodies and other stakeholders.

The Faculty Credentialing module allows institutions to collect information centrally about faculty qualifications, research, scholarly contributions, course load, professional development, and tenure. Faculty can use this tool to easily build and export an online curriculum vitae, as well as manage their own research and publications for the purposes of tenure or annual review.

Administrators can monitor faculty progress using reports in order to trigger communications to those with outstanding requirements. The module also allows administrators to view the overall breakdown of faculty credentials, teaching activities, and professional development to identify gaps and areas for improvement. Finally, by having the data standardized and centrally accessible, administrators can quickly review and justify individual faculty qualifications and generate aggregate reports for accreditation purposes.

Taskstream CEO Kevin Doyle said, “We are aware that regularly reporting on faculty credentials is a time-consuming and difficult part of meeting accreditation requirements. We are pleased to offer this new module that will make that process easier and more efficient, saving institutions valuable time and resources.”

In addition to the Faculty Credentialing module, Taskstream’s winter 2011 release features several key product enhancements including:

  • Deeper integration and seamless data sharing with other information systems
  • Faster and more efficient ways to assess students with QuickScore™
  • Sophisticated new reporting tools to support continuous improvement initiatives and the accreditation process
