NEW YORK— 2019 – Watermark, the largest provider of educational intelligence solutions for higher ed worldwide, is pleased to welcome College of DuPage as it’s newest partner. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the College of DuPage has elected to use Watermark’s faculty activity reporting solution, supplanting its current solution, in order to more effectively manage processes for faculty activities, reviews, and promotion and tenure.

With a focus on improving the quality of its programs, effectiveness of curriculum, faculty review processes, as well as accreditation reporting, COD chose to implement tools that enabled workflows and processes that supported more accurate and expanded data collection capabilities, including that of faculty activity data. With a goal of reducing the amount of time spent capturing, organizing, and analyzing faculty information, the College is now able to more effectively manage and align annual faculty assessment and activity processes — generating the kinds of reports needed for both internal and external stakeholders in a more timely manner.

With Watermark, the College is streamlining the process of capturing faculty activities across the institution at different points in time by centralizing and automating information-rich reporting to ensure both faculty and administrators have the actionable data needed to monitor quality and make real-time decisions that improve teaching and learning.

In leveraging Watermark’s faculty activity reporting solution, the College will also be supporting faculty growth through a process that allows for documenting, collecting, and storing faculty activities, including research and publications, professional development, internal and external service, course load, and student course evaluations. In leveraging Watermark solutions for this faculty can store artifacts of their work, such as full-text files of publications, presentations, grant award letters, and audio and video recordings of performances, and then generate Curriculum Vitae from the data entered.

Plus, when faculty upload this vita data into Watermark, COD can produce activity reports for the purposes of annual departmental and College-wide review and celebrations of faculty accomplishments. Data is easily accessed for promotion and tenure discussions, accreditation requirements, and reports to internal or external constituents.

“Watermark’s faculty activity reporting solution as a whole is giving us the opportunity to think about the data we gather and how it’s displayed so we can tell our story in different ways for different constituencies. Our ability to integrate faculty data into shared campus systems was enhanced tremendously, especially for departments and colleges with limited IT staff or resources. We’re committed to telling the most accurate and up-to-date story of faculty research, publications, and other accomplishments for a wider audience and to using our data across processes so that we can be making informed decisions that will improve both student and institutional outcomes,” said NAME, Title, for the College of DuPage.

“We’re excited to welcome the College of DuPage and support their faculty activity reporting needs. Centralizing faculty data marks an important step in helping the College centralize many of its core institutional processes and increase efficiency. At Watermark, we look to ease these institutional data collection processes so that faculty and administrators can focus more on using their data to make meaningful improvements across all levels of the institution — that means for teaching and learning as well as faculty professional development,” said Matt Bartel, President of Digital Measures by Watermark.

Since its inception in 1967, the College of DuPage is firmly rooted in the community, and committed to reflecting the needs and demands of an ever-changing world. From its faculty through to its Board of Trustees, the community college understands the importance of remaining relevant on multiple levels: interpersonal, academic, civic, cultural and economic. With a steady eye on regional, national and international developments, College of DuPage fulfills its mission as an educational and economic agent of change for the residents it serves. As educators, devoted to the idea that knowledge is transformative, the College prides itself on imparting knowledge through meaningful discourse, in the service of realizing each and every one of our community member’s full potential.

With Watermark as its partner, the College of DuPage is poised to streamline its management of core institutional improvement processes in order to continue using its data to make meaningful improvements at all levels.
