Watermark to Host Engage 2023, Higher Education Conference in Austin, Texas

AUSTIN, Texas — (BUSINESS WIRE) — Watermark, a leading provider of software solutions for higher education, will host its annual Engage Conference from Tuesday, June 13 to Thursday, June 15, at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas. Engage 2023 will create a space for higher education administrators, educators, and stakeholders to connect, learn, and grow. This year’s event promises an array of keynote speakers, breakout sessions, product roadmap presentations, networking opportunities, and product training and certifications.

A recent survey of higher education professionals conducted by Watermark in partnership with Education Dive found that 90% of respondents feel educational intelligence could benefit their work to establish a culture of making data-informed decisions. Engage 2023 serves as a platform for higher education administrators and faculty to advance perspectives on the powerful fusion of insights, impact, and innovation.

“Engage 2023 is poised to be a catalytic event for innovative thought and actionable insights in higher education,” said Erin Shy, CEO of Watermark. “We’re excited to bring together higher education administrators and educators from across the globe to collaborate, explore new frontiers, and work towards impactful and meaningful improvements in our field.”

Engage 2023 will feature renowned keynote speakers, including Tara Westover, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of Educated: A Memoir, and esteemed journalist David Wheeler from The Chronicle of Higher Education. Westover will lead a session called Education is Imagination, highlighting her personal journey through education against all odds. David Wheeler will lead Innovation and Accreditation, co-hosted by Watermark’s own Dr. Glenn Phillips, Ph.D. The session will explore what the future may hold for accreditation with insights from a survey conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education.

In addition to the keynotes, attendees can select from a variety of breakout sessions centered around themes including:

  • Propelling Student Success & Retention
  • Driving Continuous Improvement
  • Advancing Curricular Change
  • Enabling Program Effectiveness
  • Empowering Faculty Success
  • Expanding Professional Mindsets

Engage 2023 also includes a special Training and Certification Day on June 13, enabling attendees to deepen their understanding of Watermark’s suite of solutions and become active, self-sufficient administrators.
