Dutch buyout firm Main Capital Partners agreed to acquire TCV-backed educational technology platform Watermark Insights, clinching its largest U.S. bet to date on a company and a corner of the market it deems safe from AI disruption.
The deal is Main Capital’s largest in the U.S. since it opened an office in the country in 2023.
A person familiar with the deal said the combined enterprise value for Watermark and UK-based educational support business Tribal Group—which Main Capital agreed to acquire last week for about $256 million—approached $600 million, including debt.
